Electric Vehicles (EVs) have been the latest trend of the Indian Automobile Market and it is the future also, as we cannot be solely dependent on fossils. Therefore we need Hybrid Vehicles or EVs.
There are some options in the market such as Nexon EV and MG ZS EV but we do need something new, something better, so motor enthusiasts keep calm as we are to witness many new EVs in the Indian Automobile Market in 2022.
List of EVs that are going to launch in 2022
1. Mahindra XUV 300
Although Mahindra has launched their EV in the market they are not so amusing to the customers. Therefore they are planning to launch the EV of their very successful motor XUV 300. It is going to be priced between 15-20 Lakhs.
2. Tata Altroz EV
The premium hatchback which comes from Tata Motors has been spotted testing for the EV Variant and we can expect it to launch in the Third Quarter of 2022. Prices can be expected between 11-14 Lakhs.
3. Maruti WagonR Electric
Maruti Suzuki is a newcomer in the EV Industry as currently, they are only offering Petrol Engines. But here they are going to launch the EV Variant of their most selling hatchback in 2022. It is going to be priced between 5-9 Lakhs.
4. Hamia Bird ELectric EV1
Hamia is a Chinese Automobile Manufacturer and they are planning to launch the EV1 in Indian Market next year. It will get two battery options :
- A 20kWh battery with a 200 km range.
- A 28kWh battery with a 300 km range.
It is expected to be priced under 10 lakhs.
5. Hyundai Kona 2022
The updated version of the Hyundai Kona EV is all set to launch in June 2022. Hyundai has claimed mileage of 450+ km. It will be priced between 22-28 lakhs in India.
6. Renault Zoe
Renault is going to enter the EV Market in India in 2022. Zoe is going to have a battery of 52kWh with a range of 400 km. It will be priced between 7-10 Lakhs.
7. Mahindra eKUV100
Mahindra will be launching the eKUV100 alongside XUV 300 to cater for the low budget. It is expected to be priced under 11 Lakhs.
8. Tata Tiago EV
Tata Motors will soon be launching the Tiago EV which will be having the same feature as of Tigor EV. This will be a good option to buy for those who need a compact EV. Prices are to be expected under 8 lakhs.
9. Tata Sierra
Fortunately, Tata Motors is planning to launch its Sierra in the EV Segment. It will compete with the Hyundai Kona and the MG ZSev. Price is expected to be between Rs.18-20 Lakhs
10. Tesla Model 3
Probably the most exciting car on this list of upcoming electric cars! Tesla is expected in India early next year. The price for the entry-level tesla will be somewhere around Rs.60 Lakhs.
