2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Launched | Not A Facelift 

Maruti Suzuki has been planning big for the year 2022 starting with the Baleno 2022 they have now launched an updated version of their best selling entry-level hatchback i.e., The WagonR, WagonR has been the most loving Indian Car for almost two decades in a row and Indians have a never-ending love for Maruti Suzuki.

Let’s See what WagonR 2022 has to offer

Exterior 

The 2022 WagonR will be available in a dual-tone exterior with the colour options of Magma Grey and Gallant Red along with a Black Roof. WagonR also gets dark tone headlights and a new front grille along with a new alloy wheels design. 

Interior 

Maruti has finally discontinued the all-black interior and now they are offering a new beige and dark grey interior in the WagonR. Some new features such as Engine Start Stop System and Hill Hold Assist is now being offered in the AMT Variants. The infotainment system now comes with features such as connected car tech and satellite navigation. 

Variants Lineup 

Maruti Suzuki has finally worked on the variant lineup of the WagonR as they have now added a new Tour H3 variant in the fleet for the commercial buyers. Along with that the VXi trim also gets an option of Factory Fitted CNG Kit but to our disappointment, the new 1.2 Litre Petrol ENgine is only available in the ZXi Trim. 

Pricing Table 

New and Improved Engine 

The more modest 1.0-litre three-chamber motor conveys an eco-friendliness of 25.19 km/l with the AMT transmission. they have improved the mileage by 15% with this variation while the CNG variations convey considerably higher productivity of 34km/kg. Coming to the new and greater 1.2-litre motor that produces 88hp with an asserted eco-friendliness of 24.43km/l with the AMT gearbox. This is an improvement of around 19% also.

Updated Cost 

The new 2022 WagonR has a reexamined cost range. It begins from ₹5.40 lakhs for the LXI variation and goes up to ₹7.10 lakhs for the top ZXI+ double tone trim. What is your take on this update?
