Top Selling Cars in November 2021

November 2021 has been yet again a great month of the Indian Automobile Market in terms of sales due to the Diwali Festive Season and most of the customers prefer to buy a car in the Festive Month because car manufacturers tend to give discounts and offer many complimentary packages in the Festive Month in order to cut down the competition and take a place in the Top Selling Chart.
Now here Maruti Suzuki has again topped the sales figures chart capturing the 70% of the market.

Here are the Top Selling Cars in November 2021

1. Maruti Suzuki WagonR

WagonR has been the Indian Favourite since the 90s be it in the Cab Segment or the Family Use Segment, it has always managed to come amongst the top-selling cars. The WagonR has to offer much more according to its price as it gets a premium and spacious interior, tall boy design, great fuel efficiency and cherry on the cake is Company Fitted CNG Kit making it the most affordable and efficient car in the segment.

Sales – The Sales Figures of WagonR closed at 16,853 units.

Price – The hatchback is now priced from Rs 4.93 lakh to Rs 6.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – It is sold in three trims: LXi, VXi, and ZXi.

Engine Specifications & Transmission – Maruti offers the Wagon R with two petrol engine options: 1-litre (68PS/90Nm) and 1.2-litre (83PS/113Nm). Both engines can be mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The Wagon R also has an optional CNG variant with the 1-litre engine (59PS/78Nm), paired with a 5-speed MT.

Features – It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual AC, all four power windows, keyless entry, and steering-mounted audio and calling controls.

Safety – Standard safety features include a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

2. Maruti Suzuki Swift

Now Swift has also been the Indians Favourite and it gives tough competition to the other entry-level hatchbacks. Swift has gone through several engine updates and numerous generation changes and facelifts. But still, it has always managed to lure customers in Indian Automobile Market with its sporty looks and spacious cabin.
The new-gen 2020 Swift had more inclination towards the youth making it a top-selling for almost 2 years now.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Swift closed at 14,568 units.

Price – The Swift has now priced between Rs 5.85 lakh and Rs 8.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – The Swift is offered in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.

Engine Specifications & Transmission –

Maruti Suzuki has equipped the 2021 Swift with the 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine (90PS/113Nm), introduced on the facelifted Dzire that comes with an idle start-stop feature for improved fuel efficiency. It gets the same 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options as before. The fuel efficiency figures with both the transmissions are as follows:

  • 1.2-litre MT- 23.20kmpl
  • 1.2-litre AMT- 23.76kmpl

Features – The Swift comes with a new 4.2-inch coloured driver’s display and cruise control while retaining features such as the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, height-adjustable driver seat, auto AC, and LED headlamps with LED DRLs.

Safety – Its AMT-equipped variants get electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold control. Features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors have been carried forward from the pre-facelift model.

3. Maruti Suzuki Alto

The younger sibling of Maruti 800 is no less as it has been the best budget entry-level car for the past 2 decades. By launching Alto in the Indian Automobile Market, Maruti Suzuki made sure that everyone can fulfil their dream of owning a car and Alto is not just a car for the Indians, it’s an emotion for all of us. And thus it is no surprise to see Maruti Suzuki Alto on the top-selling list.

Sales – The Sales Figure of Alto closed at 13,812 units.

Price – The Alto has now priced between Rs 3.15 lakh and Rs 4.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – Maruti Suzuki sells the hatchback in three trims: Std, L, and V. The L trim are also offered with a CNG kit.

Engine Specifications & Transmission – The Alto comes with a 0.8-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine (48PS/69Nm). When driven on CNG, it produces 41PS and 60Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Alto’s claimed mileage figures stand at 22.05kmpl for petrol and 31.59km/kg for CNG.

Features – The Maruti Alto gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in its top-spec VXi+ variant. Other features on offer include keyless entry and front power windows.

Safety – Standard safety features include driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, and ABS with EBD.

4. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

The gamechanger car for Maruti Suzuki was launched in 2016 with an impressive DDIS 1.3 Litre Engine producing 88.58bhp @ 4000rpm along with massive 200nm torque @1750rpm. It was the first car to enter the Suv-Compact SUV Segment. Its new generation facelift version was launched in 2020 with a Petrol Engine but that did not create a hurdle for Indians to buy this car. ‘
Maruti Suzuki Brezza offers a decent deal at a price of Rs.10 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) and it is the safest car in the entire Maruti Suzuki.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Brezza closed at 10,760 units.

Price – Brezza has now priced between Rs 7.61 lakh and Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – It is offered in four trims LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.
Engine Specifications & Transmission: Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing a power of 105 PS and 138 Nm Torque. It comes with a 5 Speed Manual Gearbox and a 4 Speed Auto.

Features – Maruti Suzuki has equipped the SUV with cruise control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, auto AC, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rain-sensing wipers, and push-button start/stop.

Safety – Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

5. Hyundai Creta

This car needs no introduction, Creta is the Compact SUV that comes from Hyundai which was first launched in 2016 and got its second-generation update in 2020 which eventually resulted in a whooping sales figures as maximum people flooded Hyundai Showrooms to book the Creta 2020.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Creta closed at 10,300 units.
Price – The Creta is priced from Rs 10.16 lakh to Rs 17.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Variants – It comes in six trims: E, EX, S, SX Executive, SX, and SX(O).

Engine Specifications & Transmission – The Creta is offered with the same engines as the Kia Seltos: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm), and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol (140PS/242Nm). A 6-speed manual comes standard with the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol motor gets a choice of a CVT, the diesel engine is offered with an optional 6-speed torque converter. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol comes with a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic) only.

Features – It is equipped with LED headlamps and tail lamps, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech.

6. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Baleno is the new best selling car from NEXA which was first launched in 2016 and gained tremendous popularity amongst Indians because of its Exterior looks and Impressive Mileage.

Sales – The Sales Figure of Baleno concluded at 9,931 units

Price – Maruti Suzuki has now priced the hatchback from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – Baleno is sold in four trims i.e., Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

Engine Specifications & Transmission – It comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine (83PS/113Nm), mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The hatchback also gets a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech (90PS/113Nm), paired with a 5-speed MT. Maruti claims a mileage of 21.01kmpl for the petrol-manual variants, while those with the CVT return 19.56kmpl. On the other hand, the mild-hybrid powertrain offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.87kmpl.

Features – The Baleno gets LED projector headlamps, a rearview camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, push-button stop/start, and keyless entry.

Safety – Standard safety features include rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and dual front airbags across all variants.

7. Tata Nexon

The macho man or the solid body that comes from Tata Motors which was launched in 2018 and was the first car in the Indian Automobile Market to score 5 stars in the Global NCAP Crash Test. Tata has worked a lot on the promotion of its cars which have eventually given them a positive result.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Tata Nexon closed at 9,831 units.

Price – The Nexon has priced between Rs 7.28 lakh and Rs 13.23 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine Specifications & Transmission – It gets two engine options: 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol (120PS/170Nm) and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel (110PS/260Nm). Both can be paired with a 6-speed MT as standard and an optional 6-speed AMT.

Features – It comes with auto AC with rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and a digital instrument cluster.

Safety – Standard safety features across variants include dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

8. Maruti Suzuki Eeco

Now Eeco is not as much popular as other cars on the list but the catch here is that Eeco is the only van available in the Indian Automobile Market which is primarily used for commercial purposes. And this is the sole reason for numerous sales of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Eeco closed at 9,572 units.

Price – Eeco has priced between Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine Specifications & Transmission – It is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (73PS/98Nm), paired with a 5-speed MT. The same engine with a CNG kit produces 63PS/85Nm. The petrol version has a fuel efficiency figure of 16.11kmpl, whereas the CNG variant returns 20.88km/kg.

Features – Not much to offer it only has a manual AC

Safety – Eeco gets a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, speed alert, and rear parking sensors as standard.

9. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been the most favourite MPV of the Indians. It is the most practical and fuel-efficient 7 Seater MPV in the market.

Sales – The Sales Figures of Ertiga closed at 8,752 units.

Price – The Ertiga is priced between Rs 7.96 lakh to Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine Specifications & Transmision – Maruti has equipped the Ertiga with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (105PS/138Nm), mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter. The CNG-petrol variant uses the same 1.5-litre petrol engine but without the mild-hybrid tech. It has a claimed efficiency of 26.08km/kg but the performance drops to 92PS and 122Nm. The petrol engine with the MT and AT options has a claimed efficiency of 19.01kmpl and 17.99kmpl, respectively.

Features – It comes with projector headlamps, fog lamps, LED tail lamps, 15-inch wheels, a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and CarPlay, and a push-button start/stop. The Ertiga also gets ventilated front cup holders, auto climate control with rear AC vents, and a reverse parking camera.

Safety – Safety is covered by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and reverse parking sensors. Maruti has also equipped it with ESP and hill hold for safety, but these features are limited to the automatic variant.

10. Kia Seltos

The rival cousin of Hyundai Creta has been top-selling since its launch in 2020 as KIA Seltos offered many first in segment features.

Sales – The Sales Figure of Seltos closed at 8,659 units.

Price – The Kia Seltos has been priced between Rs 9.95 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Variants – Kia offers it in two broad trims: Tech (HT) Line and GT Line. While the former has five variants (HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+), the latter has only two [GTX(O) and GTX+]. It also comes in a new range-topping X-Line variant based on the GTX variant but with different cosmetics for a more rugged look.

Engine Specifications & Transmission –

It comes with three engine options: 1.5-litre petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol (140PS/242Nm), and 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm). A 6-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard with all three engines.
Optional automatic transmissions include a 7-speed DCT (1.4-litre turbo-petrol), a CVT (1.5-litre petrol), and a 6-speed torque converter unit (1.5-litre diesel). The 1.5-litre petrol engine also gets a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) gearbox.

Features – The Seltos is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Kia’s UVO connected car technology, an air purifier, ambient lighting, an 8-inch heads-up display, ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch multi-information display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and a sunroof. Other features include smartwatch connectivity, smart key remote-engine start, and a ‘Hello Kia’ wake up command.

Safety – Its safety kit consists of up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, emergency stop signal, vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic stability control (ESC), and hill assist control (HAC).
