Most loved cars by Indians in every segment

1. Entry Level Hatchback

There are not many options in this segment and only Maruti Suzuki is offering cars in this segment i.e, Celerio and Alto.
But undoubtedly the winner here is Maruti Alto being the oldest in the race this car has been everyone’s favourite since the day it was launched. Now Maruti Suzuki has silently changed the interior of Alto and offering much more than before. This is the car for the people who are low on but at the same time wants a no-nonsense practical car along with good mileage and reliability. And Maruti being the mileage king of the Indian Automobile Market has made the job much easier for its customers to choose, you can also go for Maruti Suzuki Celerio by slightly pushing up the budget and in this case, Celerio offers much more comfort and space as compared to Alto. But to our disappointment, the Swift hasn’t scored well in the Global NCAP Crash Test and still, Indians are buying it.

This is the most loved segment of Indians. This segment is the most value for money and reliable one. The leader here is Tata Nexon and after the launch of its facelift in 2020 the sales touched the skies resulting in a waiting period of 6-8 months. This means more people are flocking to Tata’s showroom to buy one of the safest cars in the country. That said, along with scoring a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP, Nexon also is feature-packed. Also, it gets a potent set of diesel and turbo petrol engines. All these, in conjunction, make Nexon an easy sell.

6. Compact SUV

Now the undeclared winner here is Hyundai Creta back in 2020 when Hyundai gave Creta a generation change. At first, the car seemed to have a polarizing design, but later the car grew on people’s minds. Yet again, Creta became India’s favourite compact SUV. Based on the Range Rover Land Rover Discovery’s platform, Tata Harrier is one of the perfect buys in its segment. Coming with a 2.0-litre Kryotec engine under the hood, it also is powerful for its size and weight. But the only caveat is that Harrier only comes with a diesel engine.

8. Sedan

The sedan is the segment most loved by the corporate people who need comfort and space. The king here is Honda City, Indian Automobile Market’s favourite for the past 3 decades and after 5 generation changes, it is growing stronger and stronger. 8. Compact Sedan

The cars in this category are the perfect alternative to C-Segment Sedans, the only thing to compromise on is the boot space as compared to the C segment but it is enough. That said, India’s favourite compact sedan has to be the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Of course, fuel economy is one of the prime aspects one considers while buying a vehicle in India. Talking about Dzire, it is the most fuel-efficient petrol vehicle in its segment and above. Maruti Suzuki Dzire also is comfortable on the inside with too little compromise in driving pleasure.
